PEDAGOGY
E.I.Rööperi
HELSINKI

They use a positive pedagogy.
They use small group pedagogy which means a few groups of four kids:
An adult changes groups every week but the kids are the same. In small groups kids have time to practise different skills and they have more time and a peaceful environment to learn every day activities. At times they are all together like mornings and afternoons. One group uses the same environment than the other. So when one group goes outside the other is inside and vice versa..
They use lots of music: singing and listening. They also use their body as an instrument that motivates small children to learn.
As the kindergarten is in the middle of town, they use the whole city as a learning environment.
